How Much Does a SSD Lawyer Cost?

FAQs

Why do I need representation?
Statistics show people who have competent representation have a much better chance of winning Social Security Disability benefits.  We understand the complex and ever-changing appeals process.

What are my chances of winning?
Excellent. We win a majority of the Social Security Disability claims we represent. Since 1988, we have represented thousands of individuals, guiding them through the SSDI application, claims and appeals process.

Will Social Security Disability benefits have an impact on my health insurance?

Usually, receiving benefits does not affect your health insurance. However, you should contact your employer or insurance carrier for detailed information.

How much does a Social Security Disability (SSD) lawyer cost?
If you have never had professional legal representation before, you may be wondering how much it costs to hire a Social Security Disability (SSD) lawyer to work on your case. We understand our clients' needs, which is why we are proud to offer the following structure:

We only charge a fee if we win your case. Our fee is a percentage of any past due benefits to which you are entitled. By law this fee is withheld by SSA and paid directly to your representative. However, it is your responsibility to directly reimburse us for any out of pocket expenses we have to pay to obtain evidence, such as medical, school, or employment records.

How involved will I be in pursuing my claim?
We coordinate your Social Security disability appeal, so you can avoid the stress of dealing with the Social Security Administration's ever-changing laws and regulations. We handle:

  • Complicated forms, phone calls and office visits
  • All medical, employment and claims documentation
  • Representation at all levels of the claims process through the Appeals Council.  We also appear at hearings with you, if necessary
  • We keep you informed throughout the process

How long is the appeal process?
The length of time varies depending on where you are in the appeals process when we take your case.
